ततो युधिष्ठिरो राजा श्रुत्वा माधवम् आगतम् ॥
प्रतिग्रहार्थं कृष्णस्य यमौ प्रास्थापयत् तदा ॥
ताभ्यां प्रतिगृहीतं तद् वृष्णिचक्रं समृद्धिमत् ॥
विवेश खाण्डवप्रस्थं पताकाध्वजशोभितम् ॥

अनुवाद
Then King Yudhishthira, hearing that Madhava had arrived, sent the twins to receive Krishna; received by those two, that flourishing host of Vrishnis entered Khandavaprastha, adorned with banners and standards.

Here the Lord is received with fitting honor. It is telling that Yudhishthira sends his brothers to meet him: a dear guest — and the Lord himself — is met by going out to him. Here the reverent welcome of the Lord appears as a mark of devotion. Thus the scripture shows the hospitality of the Pandavas, and the city is adorned for Krishna's sake.
