द्रव्योपकरणं कच्चित् सर्वदा सर्वशिल्पिनाम् ॥
चातुर्मास्यावरं सम्यङ् नियतं संप्रयच्छसि ॥
कच्चित् कृतं विजानीषे कर्तारं च प्रशंससि ॥
सतां मध्ये महाराज सत्करोषि च पूजयन् ॥

चातुर्-मास्य-अवरम् सम्यक् नियतम् संप्रयच्छसिcātur-māsya-avaram samyak niyatam saṃprayacchasiyou provide steadily, properly, no less often than once every four months;
कच्चित् कृतम् विजानीषे कर्तारम् च प्रशंससिkaccit kṛtam vijānīṣe kartāram ca praśaṃsasiI hope that you recognize work done, and praise the one who did it,

Here the king cares for the craftsman and the recognition of labor. It is telling that it is not enough to supply the artisan -- one must also "recognize the work done" and honor the one who did it: labor comes alive when it is noticed and valued. Scripture thus shows gratitude to the laborer to be part of justice; what follows concerns the arts of governance and war.
