यः शल्यं मद्रराजानम् उत्क्षिप्याभ्रामयद् बली ॥
त्रासयंश् चापि संक्रुद्धो वृक्षेण पुरुषान् रणे ॥
न चापि संभ्रमः कश् चिद् आसीत् तत्र महात्मनः ॥
स भीमो भीमसंस्पर्शः शत्रुसेनाङ्गपातनः ॥

Translation
"He who, having lifted up Shalya, king of Madra, whirled him around, the mighty one, and, enraged, terrified men in battle with a tree — and there was no confusion whatsoever in that great one — is Bhima, terrible to the touch, destroyer of enemy ranks."

Here rumor gives due honor to Bhima's might as well. It is telling that amid the fury of battle he "had no confusion": true strength is calm and composed. Herein lies a lesson: the valor of the righteous is not unchecked rage but unshaken steadiness. Thus scripture reveals Bhima's greatness; and the brothers' feats become known to all the kings.
