सुभद्रा त्व् अथ शैलेन्द्रम् अभ्यर्च्य सह रैवतम् ॥
दैवतानि च सर्वाणि ब्राह्मणान् स्वस्ति वाच्य च ॥
प्रदक्षिणं गिरिं कृत्वा प्रययौ द्वारकां प्रति ॥
ताम् अभिद्रुत्य कौन्तेयः प्रसह्यारोपयद् रथम् ॥

Translation
‘Subhadra, having honored the lord of mountains, Raivataka, and all the deities, and having bidden the brahmins pronounce a blessing, having circled the mountain clockwise, set out toward Dvaraka; rushing toward her, the son of Kunti forcibly raised her onto the chariot.’

Here the bride-to-be shows piety before a wondrous event. It is significant that Subhadra first honors the deities and asks for the brahmins' blessing: a virtuous woman sanctifies even an ordinary path with reverence. This shows that piety precedes a blessed fate. Thus the scripture reveals Subhadra's good character; and in the hour of her devout return, what was destined comes to pass — union with Arjuna.
