योजयध्वं रथान् आशु प्रासान् आहरतेति च ॥
धनूंषि च महार्हाणि कवचानि बृहन्ति च ॥
सूतान् उच्चुक्रुशुः केच् चिद् रथान् योजयतेति च ॥
स्वयं च तुरगान् के चिन् निन्युर् हेमविभूषितान् ॥
रथेष्व् आनीयमानेषु कवचेषु ध्वजेषु च ॥
अभिक्रन्दे नृवीराणां तदासीत् संकुलं महत् ॥

yojayadhvaṃ rathān āśu prāsān āharateti ca ||
dhanūṃṣi ca mahārhāṇi kavacāni bṛhanti ca ||
sūtān uccukruśuḥ kec cid rathān yojayateti ca ||
svayaṃ ca turagān ke cin ninyur hemavibhūṣitān ||
ratheṣv ānīyamāneṣu kavaceṣu dhvajeṣu ca ||
abhikrande nṛvīrāṇāṃ tadāsīt saṃkulaṃ mahat ||

Translation

‘“Yoke the chariots quickly! Bring the spears!” — and precious bows, and great suits of armor; some shouted to the charioteers, “Yoke the chariots!”, while others themselves led out horses adorned with gold; as chariots, armor, and banners were being brought up, there was then great confusion amid the war-cry of the heroic men.’
