एवम् एतन् महाप्राज्ञ यथात्थ विदुराद्य माम् ॥
ममापि परमो हर्षः संबन्धे ऽस्मिन् कृते विभो ॥
गमनं चापि युक्तं स्याद् गृहम् एषां महात्मनाम् ॥
न तु तावन् मया युक्तम् एतद् वक्तुं स्वयं गिरा ॥

Traducción
Drupada said: "So it is, O most wise Vidura, as you tell me now; and I too feel the highest joy at this alliance now concluded. And it would be fitting for these great souls to return home, but it is not proper for me to say this myself, in my own words."

Here the father-in-law shows a fine delicacy. It is telling that Drupada does not presume to send his sons-in-law away himself, honoring their own will: true courtesy does not rush cherished guests toward the door. Here we see that love honors the freedom of those it loves, without compelling them. Thus the text reveals Drupada's nobility; and he leaves the decision to the Pandavas themselves.
