सुविभक्तमहारथ्यं देवताबाधवर्जितम् ॥
विरोचमानं विविधैः पाण्डुरैर् भवनोत्तमैः ॥
तत् त्रिविष्टपसंकाशम् इन्द्रप्रस्थं व्यरोचत ॥
मेघवृन्दम् इवाकाशे वृद्धं विद्युत्समावृतम् ॥
तत्र रम्ये शुभे देशे कौरव्यस्य निवेशनम् ॥
शुशुभे धनसंपूर्णं धनाध्यक्षक्षयोपमम् ॥
suvibhaktamahārathyaṃ devatābādhavarjitam ||
virocamānaṃ vividhaiḥ pāṇḍurair bhavanottamaiḥ ||
tat triviṣṭapasaṃkāśam indraprasthaṃ vyarocata ||
meghavṛndam ivākāśe vṛddhaṃ vidyutsamāvṛtam ||
tatra ramye śubhe deśe kauravyasya niveśanam ||
śuśubhe dhanasaṃpūrṇaṃ dhanādhyakṣakṣayopamam ||
With well-planned broad avenues, free from calamities, shining with excellent white buildings, that Indraprastha gleamed like heaven, like a mass of clouds encircled by lightning; there, in a lovely place, the dwelling of Yudhishthira shone, full of riches, resembling the mansion of Kubera.

Here the very name of the city -- "Indraprastha" -- reveals its heavenly splendor. The comparison to heaven and to Kubera's mansion is significant: the dwelling of the righteous is likened to the abode of the gods. Here is seen the truth that where dharma is established, the earth itself becomes like heaven. Thus the scripture reveals the glory of Indraprastha; and Yudhishthira's kingdom is a reflection of celestial prosperity.
