अनुवाद

Next they recall the fifteenth, the Ashramavasa-parva. Here King Dhritarashtra, abandoning his kingdom, withdrew to the forest hermitage together with Gandhari and Vidura. Seeing his departure, the virtuous Pritha (Kunti), abandoning her sons' kingdom, followed him, devoted to the service of her elders. Here the king saw his own slain sons, grandsons, and other heroes, who had departed to another world, returned before him — beholding, by the grace of the sage Vyasa, a most wondrous marvel [of the fallen risen from the waters of the Ganga]; and, setting aside grief, [Dhritarashtra with his queen] attained the highest perfection. Vidura, established in dharma, departed by the auspicious path, as did Sanjaya, son of Gavalgana, learned and self-controlled. Here the King of Dharma met Narada and heard from him of the coming great destruction of the Vrishni race. Such is the most wondrous Ashramavasa-parva: forty-two chapters and one thousand five hundred six verses.
