अनुवाद

Next comes the seventeenth, the Mahaprasthanika-parva, in which the Pandavas, bull-like men, having abandoned their kingdom, together with Queen Draupadi set out on the great departure toward the highest perfection. Here are three chapters and one hundred twenty verses. Then let the Svarga-parva be known — heavenly, superhuman: it contains five chapters, and two hundred verses are reckoned. Thus all eighteen parvans are proclaimed in full; and in the appendices (khila) are extolled the Harivamsha and the Bhavishya-parva.
