प्रदानम् अपि कन्यायाः पशुवत् को ऽनुमंस्यते ॥
विक्रयं चाप्य् अपत्यस्य कः कुर्यात् पुरुषो भुवि ॥
एतान् दोषांश् च कौन्तेयो दृष्टवान् इति मे मतिः ॥
अतः प्रसह्य हृतवान् कन्यां धर्मेण पाण्डवः ॥

Here Krishna reveals the nobility of Arjuna's motive. It is telling that heroic abduction is here preferred to the buying and selling of a bride: Arjuna would not have the maiden handed over like merchandise. Here even the unconventional path proves more righteous than the ordinary one, so long as it escapes the taint of greed. So Scripture reveals the purity of Arjuna's intent; and his "violence" turns out to be fidelity to dignity.
