All this the King of Dharma, Yudhishthira, accepted, and he honored those great charioteers of the Vrishnis and Andhakas; those who had gathered, great of soul, made merry as virtuous men do in the abode of the immortals; here and there, with great feasting, as was fitting and as pleased them, the Kurus and Vrishnis made merry; thus those of supreme valor, having spent many days in revelry, honored by the Kurus, set out again for the city of Dvaravati.

Here the two clans rejoice together as though they were gods. It is telling that the comparison is to "the abode of the immortals": where the Lord and kinship are present, joy resembles that of heaven itself. Here the company of the righteous together with the Lord turns earth into a likeness of heaven. Thus the scripture shows the joy of union between Kurus and Vrishnis, and the recent quarrel is forgotten in friendship.
