कथयिष्ये सभां दिव्यां युधिष्ठिर निबोध ताम् ॥
वैवस्वतस्य याम् अर्थे विश्वकर्मा चकार ह ॥
तैजसी सा सभा राजन् बभूव शतयोजना ॥
विस्तारायामसंपन्ना भूयसी चापि पाण्डव ॥

vaivasvatasya yām arthe viśvakarmā cakāra ha ||
taijasī sā sabhā rājan babhūva śatayojanā ||
vistārāyāmasaṃpannā bhūyasī cāpi pāṇḍava ||

Translation
Narada said: "I shall tell of the divine hall, Yudhishthira — listen to it — which Vishvakarman made for the sake of Vaivasvata [Yama]; that fiery hall, O king, was a hundred yojanas in breadth and length, and even greater, O Pandava."

Here the narrative turns to the abode of the lord of the departed, the judge of deeds. It is significant that, right after the hall of pleasures [of Indra], the hall of recompense is described: behind bliss stands justice, and both are built by the same architect. Thus the scripture reveals a single design in the worlds of joy and judgment; and further its splendor is disclosed.
