Suta indicates that he is proceeding to the detailed telling of the Bharata and will begin with the tale of Pauloma. Here we see a care for the order of the narration: great knowledge is not presented haphazardly, but according to a coherent plan, from the beginning. This reflects the orderliness of Vyasa's design — an incarnation of the Lord, who gave the truth in a form accessibly divided, so that the listener could confidently proceed through it step by step, from the introduction to its very heart — the narrative of the Supreme.
