ऋषिभिर्बहुधा गीतं छन्दोभिर्विविधैः पृथक् ।
ब्रह्मसूत्रपदैश्चैव हेतुमद्भिर्विनिश्चितैः ॥

ṛṣibhir bahudhā gītaṁ chandobhir vividhaiḥ pṛthak |
brahma-sūtra-padaiś caiva hetumadbhir viniścitaiḥ ||

“This knowledge [of the field and its knower] has been sung in manifold ways by the sages in various Vedic hymns, and also expounded in the aphorisms of the Brahma-sūtra, which are full of perfect logic and lead to conclusive conclusions.”
