कृते तु समये तस्मिन् पाण्डवैर् धर्मचारिभिः ॥
नारदो ऽप्य् अगमत् प्रीत इष्टं देशं महामुनिः ॥
एवं तैः समयः पूर्वं कृतो नरदचोदितैः ॥
न चाभिद्यन्त ते सार्वे तदान्योन्येन भारत ॥

nārado 'py agamat prīta iṣṭaṃ deśaṃ mahāmuniḥ ||

na cābhidyanta te sārve tadānyonyena bhārata ||

Translation

Here the fruit of wise counsel is unbroken accord. It is telling that, heeding Narada, the Pandavas "did not fall out with one another": obedience to the wise preserved their unity. Here it is revealed that one who heeds holy counsel is guarded from the ruin that befell those who yielded to passion alone. So the scripture shows a good outcome; and the brotherhood of the Pandavas, sealed by their vow, stands firm where the brotherhood of the asuras fell.
