वैशंपायन उवाच
एवं ते समयं कृत्वा न्यवसंस् तत्र पाण्डवाः ॥
वशे शस्त्रप्रतापेन कुर्वन्तो ऽन्यान् महीक्षितः ॥
तेषां मनुजसिंहानां पञ्चानाम् अमितौजसाम् ॥
बभूव कृष्णा सर्वेषां पार्थानां वशवर्तिनी ॥

Translation
Vaishampayana said: "Thus, having made the agreement, the Pandavas dwelt there, subduing other kings by the might of their weapons; of those five lions among men, of boundless vigor, Krishna became obedient to all of them, the Parthas."

Here the agreement bears its fruit — unbroken harmony. It is telling that Draupadi too is "obedient to all": the peace of a household is preserved not by the husbands' vow alone, but by the wife's devotion. Harmony rests on mutual faithfulness. Thus scripture shows the good life of the Pandavas; and the agreement made at Narada's word holds their unity together.
