ततः पावकम् अब्रूतां प्रहृष्टौ कृष्णपाण्डवौ ॥
कृतास्त्रौ शस्त्रसंपन्नौ रथिनौ ध्वजिनाव् अपि ॥
कल्यौ स्वो भगवन् योद्धुम् अपि सर्वैः सुरासुरैः ॥
किं पुनर् वज्रिणैकेन पन्नगार्थे युयुत्सुना ॥

tataḥ pāvakam abrūtāṃ prahṛṣṭau kṛṣṇapāṇḍavau ||
kṛtāstrau śastrasaṃpannau rathinau dhvajināv api ||
kalyau svo bhagavan yoddhum api sarvaiḥ surāsuraiḥ ||
kiṃ punar vajriṇaikena pannagārthe yuyutsunā ||

Translation

Krishna and Arjuna said: "Then the joyful Krishna and the Pandava said to Pavaka, armed, equipped with weapons, on chariots, with banners: 'We are ready, O lord, to fight even against all the gods and asuras, let alone a single wielder of the thunderbolt, ready to fight for the sake of the serpent.'"
