The last verse of the metrical part, and it sums up the whole chapter.
It is said samyak ārādhitaḥ — “rightly worshipped”. The word samyak, “as is due”, is set deliberately after all the promises: the list was measureless, but the condition remains.
The fruits named are three, and their ladder is the same as in the thirteenth verse: long life and lordship here, the abode of Viṣṇu — at the end.
Viṣṇu-pada means both “the step of Viṣṇu” and “the place of Viṣṇu”. The expression is Vedic and very old; the following paragraphs will cite the very ṛcs from which it is taken.
Note the word ante — “at the end”. It sets everything in place: the things of this world are given along the road, and that — at the road's end.
And more: prasīdati — “he becomes gracious”. The same verb stood in the first paragraph of the fourth chapter of the uttara, where Bhāradvāja asked by what mantras Rāma “becomes pleased and shows Himself”.
The ring has closed: they asked how to propitiate Him — and now it is said that He is propitiated quickly.
