यस्य नाहंकृतो भावो बुद्धिर्यस्य न लिप्यते ।
हत्वापि स इमाँल्लोकान्न हन्ति न निबध्यते ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
yasya nāhaṅkṛto bhāvo buddhir yasya na lipyate |
hatvāpi sa imāṁl lokān na hanti na nibadhyate ||
Word-by-word

न अहंकृतः भावःna ahaṅkṛtaḥ bhāvaḥhas no (na) egoistic (ahaṅkṛta) motivation (bhāvaḥ).

न लिप्यतेna lipyateis not tainted, is not affected.
हत्वा अपिhatvā apieven while killing.
सः इमान् लोकान्saḥ imān lokānhe (saḥ) these people (imān lokān).
न हन्तिna hantihe does not kill.
न निबध्यतेna nibadhyateand is not bound [by the consequences].
Translation
“One whose actions are not driven by false ego, and whose intelligence is not tainted by material attachments — such a person, even while killing, does not truly kill and is not bound by the consequences of his actions.”
