यथैव मन्यते वीरो दाशार्हः पुरुषोत्तमः ॥
प्राप्तकालं महाबाहुः सा बुद्धिर् निश्चिता मम ॥
यथैव हि महाभागाः कौन्तेया मम सांप्रतम् ॥
तथैव वासुदेवस्य पाण्डुपुत्रा न संशयः ॥
न तद् ध्यायति कौन्तेयो धर्मपुत्रो युधिष्ठिरः ॥
यद् एषां पुरुषव्याघ्रः श्रेयो ध्यायति केशवः ॥

yathaiva manyate vīro dāśārhaḥ puruṣottamaḥ ||
prāptakālaṃ mahābāhuḥ sā buddhir niścitā mama ||
yathaiva hi mahābhāgāḥ kaunteyā mama sāṃpratam ||
tathaiva vāsudevasya pāṇḍuputrā na saṃśayaḥ ||
na tad dhyāyati kaunteyo dharmaputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
yad eṣāṃ puruṣavyāghraḥ śreyo dhyāyati keśavaḥ ||

Translation

"As the hero Dashārha, best of men, thinks fitting — this is my firm resolve; for as the greatly fortunate Kaunteyas are dear to me now, so too are the sons of Pandu dear to Vasudeva, without doubt. Yudhishthira does not think as much of his own good as Keshava thinks of theirs."
