श्रीभगवानुवाच ।
भूय एव महाबाहो शृणु मे परमं वचः ।
यत्तेऽहं प्रीयमाणाय वक्ष्यामि हितकाम्यया ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

śrī-bhagavān uvāca |
bhūya eva mahā-bāho śṛṇu me paramaṁ vacaḥ |
yat te 'haṁ prīyamāṇāya vakṣyāmi hita-kāmyayā ||

वक्ष्यामिvakṣyāmiI shall declare
हितकाम्ययाhita-kāmyayādesiring (kāmyayā) your welfare (hita)
Translation

The Blessed Lord said: “O mighty-armed one, hear once more My supreme teaching, which I shall declare to you, My dear friend, wishing you the highest good, for you take delight in My words.”
