Suta concludes his explanation of the akshauhini, having satisfied the sages' request. Here the teacher's duty shows itself — to answer fully and clearly — as does the fruit of attentive listening. Though the subject here is worldly, the very care of the questioning and the thoroughness of the answer create that atmosphere of seeking truth in which the higher subjects — the narratives of the Lord and His devotees — will later unfold.
