The fifteenth name is the seven mahāvyāhṛtis, “great utterances”: bhūḥ, bhuvaḥ, svaḥ, mahaḥ, janaḥ, tapaḥ, satyam.
These are the names of the seven worlds, spoken in the rite; the first three of them stand as the refrain in every mantra of this litany.
That is, the doxology names as its subject what it itself pronounces in every line.
Note that these utterances are not held to be mere labels: they are spoken at the libation, and the speaking is thought an act. Name a world — and it is present.
The same power this whole book ascribes to the mantra: its second paragraph says that by the anuṣṭubh all is created and into it all is gathered.
Seven words, then, hold seven worlds, and all of them are He.
