A link before the second verse about horns.
Note the structure of this part of the book, looking at it whole.
The fifth khaṇḍa: prose about the gods and the demonic sin — and a verse about horns. The sixth: prose about the sounds through prefixes — and a verse about horns. The seventh: the same.
Three times in a row: an argument, then one and the same image.
It is like a refrain. The content of the prose is new each time, yet it is sealed by one and the same thing — the joining of the horns.
So this image is what the book counts its chief business: to join the extreme sounds, setting the mantra between them.
All the rest is explanations; the practice is one.
