समं कायशिरोग्रीवं धारयन्नचलं स्थिरः ।
सम्प्रेक्ष्य नासिकाग्रं स्वं दिशश्चानवलोकयन् ॥
प्रशान्तात्मा विगतभीर्ब्रह्मचारिव्रते स्थितः ।
मनः संयम्य मच्चित्तो युक्त आसीत मत्परः ॥

samaṁ kāya-śiro-grīvaṁ dhārayann acalaṁ sthiraḥ |
samprekṣya nāsikāgraṁ svaṁ diśaś cānavalokayan ||

Translation

“Holding the body, neck, and head erect in a straight line, one should sit motionless and steady. The gaze should be fixed on the tip of the nose, not looking about in any direction. (13) Thus, with a fully peaceful and fearless mind, established in the vow of celibacy, having subdued the mind, the yogī should sit, fixing all his thoughts on Me and regarding Me as the supreme goal. (14)”
