ततः सिंहासनस्थः सन् द्विभुजो रघुनन्दनः । धनुर्धरः प्रसन्नात्मा सर्वाभरणभूषितः

The second contemplation begins, and it differs from the first.
In the seventh verse Rāma was contemplated in the forest: with matted locks, beside Prakṛti. Here He is on the throne, “adorned with every ornament”. The exile is over.
But two features are repeated word for word: dvibhuja, “two-armed”, and dhanurdhara, “holding the bow”.
A bow on a throne is not the most fitting thing. A king in assembly is due a sceptre. And the book deliberately leaves Him the bow: the enthroned one has not ceased to be the one who walked through the forest.
Prasannātmā — “bright of soul”. In the eighth verse He was called prasanna-vadana, “with a bright face”; in the twenty-seventh — “having the form of wrath”. The wrath passed with the war; the brightness remained.
The next four verses will set around the throne all who were named in the tale — and the tale will finally turn into the diagram.
