तस्मिन्निरस्तनिःशेषसंकल्पस्थितिमेषि चेत् सर्वात्मकं पदं शान्तं तदा प्राप्नोष्यसंशयः

“If thou attainest standing in it, where all designs are cast off without remainder — then, without doubt, thou attainest the all-embracing, stilled state.”

A promise, and given with rare definiteness: asaṃśayaḥ — “without doubt”.
One condition is named: sthiti in that expanse of which the previous verse spoke, with the designs cast off without remainder.
The word sthiti means “standing, steady abiding”. Not a glimpse, but establishment.
This is the whole path reduced to one line: what in 4.58 was shown as a momentary interval must be made one's dwelling-place.
Note the definition of the goal: sarvātmakaṃ padaṃ śāntam — “the all-embracing and stilled state”.
Sarvātmaka — “containing all in itself”. Not “separate from everything”, but the reverse. He who has ceased to design is not cut off from the world — he ceases to be its part and becomes that in which the world is.
