स्थितः किं मूढ एवास्मि प्रेक्षेऽहं शास्त्रसज्जनैः वैराग्यपूर्वमिच्छेति शुभेच्छेत्युच्यते बुधैः

sthitaḥ kiṃ mūḍha evāsmi prekṣe'haṃ śāstrasajjanaiḥ vairāgyapūrvamiccheti śubhecchetyucyate budhaiḥ

शुभ-इच्छा इति उच्यते बुधैःśubha-icchā iti ucyate budhaiḥis called by the wise “good desire”; the sages name it “fair wishing”
Traducción

“‘What, am I to remain a fool? Let me look, with the help of the scriptures and good men’ — such a desire, preceded by dispassion, the wise call good desire.”
