यथावयः समागम्य राजभिस् तैश् च पाण्डवः ॥
सत्कृत्य पूजयित्वा च विससर्ज नराधिपान् ॥
युधिष्ठिराभ्यनुज्ञातास् ते नृपा हृष्टमानसाः ॥
जग्मुः स्वदेशांस् त्वरिता यानैर् उच्चावचैस् ततः ॥

Translation
Having met with those kings according to seniority, the Pandava [Yudhishthira], having honored and given them gifts, dismissed the lords of men. Dismissed by Yudhishthira, those kings, with joyful hearts, departed swiftly to their own lands on vehicles of every kind.

The freed kings are not detained nor turned into tributaries by force -- they are "honored and given gifts" and sent home. It is telling that the fruit of victory is not subjugation but release: the rescued depart as kings, not as captives. Thus the difference between righteous rule and tyranny shows itself: Jarasandha hoarded kings in bonds, Yudhishthira restores them to their thrones. The verse teaches that true sovereignty does not enslave but liberates, binding others to itself not with chains but with gratitude.
