"O Drupada, it is she who was born as your daughter, of godlike beauty, destined to be the wife of the five, the flawless Krishna Parshati. Heavenly Shri, for the sake of the Pandavas, arose at the great sacrifice; having performed dreadful austerity, she came to you as a daughter. This goddess, lovely, honored by the gods, the single wife of the five — by her own deed, was created by the Self-Existent as a wife of the gods. Having heard this, O King Drupada, act as you should."

Here Vyasa completes the disclosure of the mystery and entrusts the decision to the king. It is significant that Draupadi's marriage to five husbands is traced to three foundations at once: the boon of Shiva, her divine origin as Shri, and the word of Kunti — all converging in a single, preordained arrangement. What is shown again is that this is a unique mystery of descended beings, not a model for imitation: it is sacred precisely in its singularity and is not to be followed by human beings. Thus scripture reveals the fullness of what has been disclosed, and the enlightened Drupada is now free to act without doubt.
