Translation

The line of Aila and Ikshvaku are held to be the foundation [of kshatriyahood]; kings joined in successive lines, and other kshatriyas on earth — of the line of Aila and of the line of Ikshvaku — know that these number one hundred and one lineages, O bull of the Bharatas. And from Yayati comes the most excellent, great expansion of the Bhojas, extending, O great king, to the four directions.
