अभिगम्य स राजानं विनयेन समाहितः ॥
अभ्यर्च्य ब्राह्मणान् पार्थो द्रौपदीम् अभिजग्मिवान् ॥
तं द्रौपदी प्रत्युवाच प्रणयात् कुरुनन्दनम् ॥
तत्रैव गच्छ कौन्तेय यत्र सा सात्वतात्मजा ॥
सुबद्धस्यापि भारस्य पूर्वबन्धः श्लथायते ॥
abhigamya sa rājānaṃ vinayena samāhitaḥ ||
abhyarcya brāhmaṇān pārtho draupadīm abhijagmivān ||
taṃ draupadī pratyuvāca praṇayāt kurunandanam ||
tatraiva gaccha kaunteya yatra sā sātvatātmajā ||
subaddhasyāpi bhārasya pūrvabandhaḥ ślathāyate ||
Draupadi said: "Having come to the king with humility, composed, and having honored the brahmanas, Partha went to Draupadi; to him Draupadi replied, out of love, jealous, to the delight of the Kurus: 'Go there indeed, Kaunteya, where that daughter of the Satvatas is; for even a well-tied load's earlier knot grows slack.'"

Here even in Draupadi's reproach love shows through. It is telling that her jealousy comes "out of love": a loving woman's reproach is born not of malice but of tenderness, fearing to be forgotten. Here is the humanity of feeling that does not diminish her virtue. So Scripture reveals a wife's natural jealousy; and behind it, the depth of her love for her husband.
