दीर्घभाजि षडस्रे तु लिखेद्बीजं हृदादिभिः । कोणपार्श्वे रमामाये तदग्रेऽनङ्गमालिखेत्

अनुवाद
In the hexagon with the long rays let him write the seed syllable together with “hṛd” and the rest; at the sides of the corners — Ramā and māyā, and in front — the syllable of Anaṅga.

The writing passes to the hexagon — the same that in the thirty-fourth verse was composed of two triangles of living persons.
Now syllables are written in their places. Hṛd — “heart” — is the first of the six aṅga-mantras with which in the rite the parts of the body are invested; these are set at the six corners.
Note what happens in essence. Where Bharata, Śatrughna, Hanumān, Sugrīva, Vibhīṣaṇa stood, now stand syllables. One and the same place is named twice — once by a name, once by a sound.
This is what the first Upaniṣad spoke of: the form, the mantra and the yantra are one, taken by the eye, the voice and the hand. Here one sees the passage made in fact: the diagram does not change; the writing changes.
Anaṅga — “the bodiless” — is the name of the god of love, whose syllable is written in front. His presence in the diagram should not disturb: the power of attraction is placed outside and set to service.
The next verses will add the lotuses, and on their petals all the letters of the alphabet will be written.
