ओं यो ह वै श्रीरामचन्द्रः स भगवान् ये मत्स्यकूर्माद्यवताराः भूर्भुवः सुवस्तस्मै वै नमो नमः

अनुवाद
Oṁ. He who is Śrī-Rāmacandra — He is the Lord, and He is all the descents — the Fish, the Tortoise and the rest. Earth, mid-air, heaven! To him be bow upon bow.

The tenth mantra names the avatāras: Matsya the fish, Kūrma the tortoise, and “the rest” — the boar, the man-lion, the dwarf, Paraśurāma, Rāma, Kṛṣṇa.
And here the book does that for which it is worth reading at all. Rāma is one of this ten; and it is said that the whole ten is He.
That is, He is not set beside the others as one of ten: the list is called by His name.
We saw this already in the diagram of the fourth Upaniṣad of the pūrva, where around Rāma were written the names of Nārāyaṇa and Vāsudeva, and Nṛsiṃha and Varāha were posted as guards. There I said: the names are many, the Named is one.
Here the same is said directly and briefly.
Note the order of the mantras. The ninth named the born — gods, demons, men; the tenth names the Descending One. The difference between them is firm in these books: the born fall into their states by their deeds; the Descending One comes by will.
The twelfth verse of the fourth Upaniṣad named Him kāmarūpa — “taking form at will”.
