The count of the thirty-three gods is completed: the twelve Ādityas, Dhātṛ, and the vaṣaṭ-kāra — the sacrificial cry with which the offering is released into the fire.
The last is remarkable. Among the gods is counted not a god but an exclamation. So too the Bṛhadāraṇyaka in its enumeration added to the thirty-three something that is no god.
Then the diagram closes: bhū-gṛha, “the earth-house” — the square with gates, the usual outer frame of every yantra. At its corners Indra's vajra and the trident; three lines encircle the whole.
With these same three lines the diagram began in the fortieth verse — trirekhā-puṭa. The ring is closed: from the triple line through all the lotuses and back to the triple line.
The square means the earth, and means the limit. Within it — the name, speech, the gods; outside — nothing, because there is no outside to the diagram.
The last verses will add to the square eight serpents at the corners and the mantras of Nṛsiṃha and Varāha — the guards. Then the mālā-mantra will begin.
