Oṁ. He who is Śrī-Rāmacandra — He is the Lord, and He is he who is the moon. Earth, mid-air, heaven! To him be bow upon bow.

The twenty-eighth mantra names soma — the moon and at the same time the juice of the sacrificial plant with which in antiquity libations were poured to the gods.
Both meanings live in the word together, and both lead to one thing: soma is what quenches and what grows.
In the sixth verse of the fourth Upaniṣad of the pūrva the world was named agnīṣomātmaka — “made of fire and soma”: two principles, the burning and the quenching. And there Rāma and Sītā were compared to the moon and the moonlight.
So it has come out that the previous mantra named Him the sun, and this one — the moon.
In the second paragraph of the second chapter of the uttara He was addressed “to the Moon a bow, to the Good one a bow” — candrāya namaḥ.
I will add what the tradition holds firmly: the moon is linked with the mind, the sun with the eye. And therefore these two mantras, set side by side, cover both the outer light and the inner.
