किमप्यव्यपदेशात्मा पूर्णात्पूर्णतराकृतिः न सन्नासन्न सदसन्न भावो भावनं न च

The expression pūrṇāt pūrṇataram, “fuller than the full”, belongs to the same line as the famous opening of the Īśopaniṣad: “that is full, this is full; from the full the full is taken — and the full remains”.
It is an attempt to say in words that for which words are not fitted: a fullness to which nothing can be added and from which nothing can be taken.
The triple negation of the second line is a strict device: neither A, nor not-A, nor A-and-not-A. Thus all possible answers are closed off save one — silence.
The last pair is subtler: bhāva and bhāvana, “presence” and “conception”. Rejected is both what exists of itself and what exists in someone's representation.
Note too the first word: kim api — “something”. It repeats the sat kiṃcid of 2.65. However one negates, the book stubbornly sets down a subject.
