यदस्तीह तदेवास्ति विज्वरो भव सर्वदा यथाप्राप्तानुभवतः सर्वत्रानभिवाञ्छनात्

The word for whose sake the verse is worth remembering: vijvara — “without fever, without heat”.
Jvara means “fever, burning”. Our ordinary condition is named an illness with a temperature.
This is more exact than “suffering”. In a fever everything seems weighty, alarming and demanding immediate action, and the man tosses about.
To cool down — that is the whole cure.
The first line — yad astīha tad evāsti, “what is, that is” — sounds like a byword, and yet the whole point is in it. Not “the world is illusory” and not “there is no world”: there is what there is.
And two ways of cooling down, named at the end: to taste what has come, and to solicit nothing.
This repeats the rule of 5.170 and 5.171.
