महाधियः शान्तधियो ये याता विमनस्कताम् जन्तोः कृतविचारस्य विगलद्वृत्तिचेतसः

A long period begins that will stretch over several verses: the list of the marks of one who has walked the path.
It is built as a chain of genitives: “of him who has performed the inquiry”, “of him who leaves off contemplating”, “of him who sees the seer”, and so on. All refer to one man, and the subject will be long in coming.
This is a device of Sanskrit poetry: a long enumeration holding the listener in suspense.
Note the pair mahā-dhī and śānta-dhī — “great of reason” and “stilled of reason”. Both qualities together: the mind is great and quiet.
Vigalad-vṛtti — “with melting movements”. The word vṛtti is the very one by which Patañjali names the fluctuations of the mind that are to cease.
And vimanaskatā — “mindlessness”, the same as acittatva.
