देवनागरी
न जायते न म्रियत्ते किंचिदत्र जगत्त्रये न च भावविकाराणां सत्ता क्वचन विद्यते

The words na jāyate na mriyate are from the Bhagavad-gītā and the Kaṭha, where they are said of the Ātman.
Here they are extended to everything: “nothing here is born or dies”.
This is the consequence of the previous verse. If all is Brahman, and Brahman is not born, then there is nothing left to be born.
Bhāva-vikāra — “the transformations of being”: in the old lists there are six — it is born, it is, it grows, it changes, it wanes, it perishes. It is said they have no sattā, “genuineness”.
This must be read in the light of 4.53, where the seen, freed of the turmoil, “came to its true being”. What is denied is not that changes happen, but that they are anything self-standing.
Change is not a thing. It is the way we describe the changeless, looking at it piecemeal and in turn.
