श्रीभगवानुवाच ।
कालोऽस्मि लोकक्षयकृत्प्रवृद्धो
लोकान्समाहर्तुमिह प्रवृत्तः ।
ऋतेऽपि त्वां न भविष्यन्ति सर्वे
येऽवस्थिताः प्रत्यनीकेषु योधाः ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

śrī-bhagavān uvāca |
kālo 'smi loka-kṣaya-kṛt pravṛddho
lokān samāhartum iha pravṛttaḥ |
ṛte 'pi tvāṁ na bhaviṣyanti sarve
ye 'vasthitāḥ pratyanīkeṣu yodhāḥ ||

ऋते अपि त्वाम्ṛte api tvāmeven without you.
न भविष्यन्तिna bhaviṣyantithey will not survive, will not exist.

ये अवस्थिताःye avasthitāḥthose who stand.
प्रत्यनीकेषुpratyanīkeṣuin the opposing armies.
योधाःyodhāḥthe warriors.
Translation

The Blessed Lord said: “I am Time, the great destroyer of the worlds, and I have come here to annihilate all these people. Apart from you [Pāṇḍavas], all the warriors standing in both armies shall not survive.”
