ayam candraḥ sarveṣām bhūtānām madhv asya candrasya sarvāṇi bhūtāni madhu yaḥ ca ayam asmin candre tejomayaḥ amṛtamayaḥ puruṣaḥ yaḥ ca ayam adhyātmaṃ mānasaḥ tejomayaḥ amṛtamayaḥ puruṣaḥ ayam eva saḥ yaḥ ayam ātmedam amṛtam idam brahma idam sarvam
This moon is the honey of all beings, and all beings are the honey of this moon. And the shining immortal person who is in the moon, and the shining immortal person who is in the body as mind — that is this ātman. This is the immortal, this is Brahman, this is all.

The seventh wave is moon and mind: a pair known from the transfer at death (the mind, released, became the moon — 1.3.16). The moon is the honey of beings: coolness, the sap of the herbs, the measure of time, the soma of the gods; beings are the honey of the moon: its light lives by having someone to shine on.
Mind and moon are sweet to each other as tides are to one sea: the mind waxes and wanes, shines by reflected light, governs the inner waters. And in both is one immortal Puruṣa: a man's thought and the light of the night sky are two ends of one bridge of honey. Half the vidyā is done; the waves will go on — to lightning, thunder, space, dharma, truth — until they close upon the ātman itself.
