This human world is the honey of all beings, and all beings are the honey of the human world. And the shining immortal person who is in the human, and the shining immortal person who is in the body as a man — that is this ātman. This is the immortal, this is Brahman, this is all.

The thirteenth wave is mānuṣa, the human: the race of men as an element alongside earth and lightning! Humankind is the honey of beings: through people come sacrifice, care, the cultivation of the world; beings are the honey of humankind: everything alive feeds and teaches people.
The Upaniṣad enters the human into the divine series without hesitation: in the race of men and in an individual man there is the same shining immortal Puruṣa. This is the foundation of all the humanism of the Vedas: to serve a man is to serve the Dweller in him; and therefore in bhakti kindness to people is no social appendix but a direct form of worship.
