The greatest in size and depth: Yājñavalkya argues with a whole assembly and departs into the forest, bidding his wife farewell with the teaching that nothing is dear for its own sake. Hence "not this, not this," the teaching on deeds and rebirth, and the prayer "lead me from non-being to being."
