The word for whose sake the verse deserves reading: ati-sāmrājya — “supreme empire”.
Designlessness is named neither absence nor poverty, but an empire. And not merely a kingdom, but sāmrājya — the sway of a supreme sovereign over other sovereigns.
This is an important correction to all that was said of leaving. He who has left his designs is not destitute: he has found himself on the throne.
Why — is plain from the constitution of power. The king is he who needs nothing and depends on nothing. Every design is a dependence on what is not yet.
Sakala-siddhi-da — “bestowing all perfections”. A turn from the vocabulary of yoga, where the siddhis are supernatural powers. It is said: they attach themselves, and there is no need to seek them separately.
Avaṣṭabdha means “braced, established”. A word of standing firm, on one's feet.
