सर्वं चाप्यहमेवेति निश्चयो यो महामते तमादाय विषादाय न भूयो जायते मतिः

The verse gives the fruit of the third conviction, and the fruit is named modestly: one comes no more to viṣāda — “dejection, despondency”.
Note the word. Viṣāda is the very one by which the Bhagavad-gītā's first chapter is titled: “The Dejection of Arjuna”.
So the speech is of a quite definite state: the hands drop, all is meaningless, nothing is wanted.
The remedy for it — “all this is I”.
Reasonable, if one thinks it through. Dejection is a feeling of estrangement: the world goes past and without me. The conviction that all this is I removes not the task but precisely the estrangement.
The Vaiṣṇava medicine for the same is different in word and identical in effect: all this is His, and I am His. There too there is no estrangement.
