Chapter 1 — Шандилья-упанишада178 verses

A detailed manual of yoga: ten restraints and vows, eight postures, channels and winds, locks and seals. The path along the central channel leads, in its own words, to "the supreme step of Viṣṇu"; and the book ends with the Lord giving Himself to the sage and becoming his son.
