सः यः एवम् एतत् बृहत् आदित्ये प्रोतं वेद तेजस्वी अन्नादः भवति सर्वम् आयुः एति ज्योक् जीवति महान् प्रजया पशुभिः भवति महान् कीर्त्या तपन्तम् न निन्देत् तत् व्रतम्

Traducción
He who thus knows this bṛhat woven into the sun becomes resplendent and an eater of food, attains the full span of life, lives in brightness, is great in offspring and cattle, great in fame. Let him not revile the burning [sun]: that is the vow.

The fruit of the bṛhat: tejasvī — "resplendent": the solar sāman shares its heat with its venerator. And the vow: tapantaṁ na nindet — "let him not revile the burning one": do not grumble at the heat!
The vows of the series add up to a science of not grumbling: do not revile the rain (2.15), do not revile the heat: for an element in which a song has been recognised there is no "bad weather" — there are only beats. Grumbling at a scorching sun is criticism of an udgītha as the sky performs it: a knower will not let himself hiss at the climax of the Great sāman. So the upāsanā cures our perpetual quarrel with the weather: for one who hears a lifting-up in the heat, even noon is holy.
