तम् चेद् एतस्मिन् वयसि किंचित् उपतपेत् सः ब्रूयात् प्राणाः वसवः इदम् मे प्रातःसवनम् माध्यंदिनम् सवनम् अनुसंतनुत इति मा अहम् प्राणानाम् वसूनाम् मध्ये यज्ञः विलोप्सीय इति उत् ह एव ततः एति अगदः ह भवति

Traducción
If in this age something afflicts him, let him say: "O prāṇas, O Vasus! Extend this morning pressing of mine on into the midday pressing: may I, the sacrifice, not be cut short in the midst of the prāṇas, the Vasus!" And he rises from it and becomes well.

The first healing mantra of the puruṣa-yajña: one who falls ill in youth should say: prāṇā vasava idaṁ me prātaḥ-savanaṁ mādhyandinaṁ savanam anusantanuta — "O prāṇas, O Vasus! Extend my morning pressing on into the midday one": mā ahaṁ prāṇānāṁ vasūnāṁ madhye yajño vilopsīya — "may I, the sacrifice, not be broken off in the midst of the Vasus!"
The logic of the cure is striking: an illness in youth is a threat of the rite's collapse — but a sacrifice begun in due form is not interrupted! — and so the sick man cries not "heal me" but "do not let the sacrifice be broken off": he appeals to the liturgical inviolability of his own life. ud dhaiva tata ety agado ha bhavati — "he rises from it and becomes well": the awareness of oneself as a sacrifice is a therapy: a life understood as a service is protected by the service's right to run to its end.
