अशरीरः वायुः अभ्रम् विद्युत् स्तनयित्नुः अशरीराणि एतानि तत् यथा एतानि अमुष्मात् आकाशात् समुत्थाय परम् ज्योतिः उपसंपद्य स्वेन रूपेण अभिनिष्पद्यन्ते

Traducción
Bodiless is the wind; the cloud, the lightning, the thunder are bodiless. As these, rising out of yonder space and entering the highest light, appear each in his own form,

A parable of bodilessness taken from nature: wind, cloud, lightning, thunder are "bodiless", not fettered to a dense form; and when they "rise out of space and enter the highest light" — the light of the sky — each "appears in his own form": the lightning as an arrow, the cloud as a mountain, the thunder as a peal. Bodilessness is not facelessness! Freed from a gross sheath, the elements do not lose their images but display them.
The parable prepares the last, decisive step: the same words will now be said of the soul. The Upaniṣad forestalls the fear left in Indra by the third lesson: to leave the body is not to depart into the impersonal; as lightning in the sky does not "dissolve into the light" but flashes as itself, so too the risen soul.
